President John Dramani Mahama has announced the upcoming launch of Her Excellency the Vice-President's Empowerment for Women and People with Disabilities Programme later this year.
The initiative will focus on supporting women, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups by equipping them with the necessary skills and financial resources to create sustainable jobs. "This programme will build capacity and provide access to finance, ensuring that these groups have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the economy," Mahama stated during his State of the Nation Address on Thursday, February 27.
The empowerment programme aligns with the government's broader agenda to promote inclusivity and economic self-sufficiency, offering targeted support to those who need it most.
