The immediate past National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), , has asserted that one of the greatest mistakes ever made in Ghana is former President John Dramani Mahama being voted out of office after his first term. According to Ofosu-Ampofo, Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC for the 2024 election, was transforming the country before he lost the 2016 elections. He said that all forms of allegations of corruption were made against Mahama, but investigations by the very people who made the allegations have exonerated him. He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to vote for the former president in the upcoming December 7, 2024, presidential elections. "We need very honest, sincere, and incorruptible people to lead this country. I praise God because a lot of insinuations were made about President John Mahama by members of this government.
