Deputy Food and Agriculture Minister-designate, John Dumelo took his turn at the Appointments Committee on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 seeking approval from Parliament.
Amongst other things that came up at the vetting included a question about whether or not he has joined any secret society of the Catholic church, after he had admitted being a staunch member of the Catholic church.
John Dumelo responded to Minority Leader, Afenyo-Markin who asked the question saying "I don't belong to any society in the catholic church." Another interesting moment which has generated conversations online was when Tolon MP, Habib Iddrisu offered some advice to John Dumelo.
During Dumelo's vetting on February 25, 2025, Habib Iddrisu urged Dumelo to take his new role seriously and focus on supporting the Minister for Agriculture.
