Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin on Wednesday, February 26,  took a swipe at the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, stating that proceedings had been smooth in his absence for the past two days.

His remark came during a session of the committee, subtly suggesting that Ahiafor's handling of the vetting process had been a source of contention.

During the vetting of the Deputy Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, a moment of tension arose between Ranking Member,  Alexander Afenyo-Markin and the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor.

The exchange, which occurred during what had been a largely smooth vetting process, highlighted concerns over procedural conduct and decorum within the committee.
