Alhassan Suhuyini, deputy minister-designate for roads and highways, has proposed using pension funds to support infrastructure development in Ghana.
During his vetting before Parliament on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Suhuyini suggested that long-term pension investments could be redirected to finance key infrastructure projects, particularly road construction.
His proposal was part of discussions on alternative ways to fund infrastructure.
A day earlier, Parliament had debated the potential of public-private partnerships (PPPs) as a means of financing major government projects.
