Deputy Minister-Designate for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, ended his vetting before the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with a symbolic presentation-gifting traditional smocks to each committee member.

After addressing questions about his plans for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Tamale Central MP expressed gratitude to the committee members and handed them the smocks, a signature attire of the Northern Region. "In the spirit of accountability, permit me to announce that my revered chiefs brought you a smock for me to present on your behalf, and the same will be provided for all members of this committee so that in your next sitting, perhaps you all will be dressed in a Dagbon smock," he stated.

Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor acknowledged the gesture, responding, "Thank you very much.

It is much appreciated, and I am most grateful."
