The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu met the leadership of the National Union of Ghana Dtsudnet (NUGS) in Accra on Monday, February 24.
The conversation centered on improving education in Ghana and deepening relations among stakeholders in the education sector. "I pledged President John Dramani Mahama's commitment to improve the quality of education at all levels and prepare Ghanaian students for the opportunities ahead," the Minister wrote after the engagement.
It is recalled that during his vetting, Haruna Iddrisu said that the Mahama administration will prioritise access, quality and relevance in tertiary education.
To improve access, he said, the government will focus on expanding infrastructure.
