Tragedy struck in Nungua as Lawrencia Naa Borley Nelson, popularly known as Naa GAMU, the newly enstooled Queen of the Ga-Adangme Muslim Union (Nungua West), was shot and killed during her enstoolment ceremony over the weekend.
According to eyewitnesses, the celebratory event took a horrific turn when gunfire erupted, fatally striking Naa GAMU.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but police have confirmed the arrest of a suspect, who is currently in custody as investigations continue.
Authorities have assured the public that a comprehensive investigation is underway to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.
