Deputy Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture, John Dumelo has assured that persons affected by the mass termination of post-december 7 recruitments and appointments will be recalled by government after a review.
Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on February 25 2025, John Dumelo explained that the review of the appointments of these persons will not be based on partisanship.
He stated that the re-employment will only be for persons who deserves it. "My understanding is those who lost their jobs are being reviewed and those who will be re-employed will be re-employed and those who will not be re-employed will not be re-employed. "They've been sacked but might be recalled upon review," he noted.
The Ayawaso West-Wuogon MP urged his constituents who have been affected by the termination "to hold on and that everything will be fine." Government has nullified all appointments and recruitments made into public sectors by the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration after December 7, 2024.
