The Ghana Armed Forces have commenced rehearsal drills at Jubilee House as preparations ramp up for the country's eagerly awaited 68th Independence Day celebration.
Approximately 50 officers are taking part in the parade, practising a series of brief drills immediately following the national anthem and the pledge.
The rehearsals are also focusing on refining ceremonial procedures, including the protocols for receiving and introducing the President during the parade.
This year's celebration will be more modest, held at Jubilee House instead of the traditional venue at Independence Square-a move that aligns with President John Mahama's commitment to reducing government spending.
