An audio of a man who identifies as one of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairpersons in Effutu has leaked, with him allegedly admonishing members of the party to sabotage the manifesto launch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He is heard in the audio appealing to residents, particularly the youth, to mobilise themselves and disrupt the launch of the manifesto. He indicated in the audio that the incumbent MP for the area, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has plans to create some jobs for 2,000 young people because he is now the boss of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG); hence, the youth should mobilise themselves and disrupt the exercise.
"I am extending my greetings to everyone on this platform, especially assembly members, coordinators, polling station executives, women organizers, and constituency executives. I am the chairman speaking. I came to you this morning with an appeal.
