The National Youth Organiser of the (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has opposed calls from sections of the general public advocating for prayers for President and his administration to succeed.
Expressing his views, he noted that the same individuals advocating for prayers did not make similar calls during former President 's administration, highlighting what he described as the hypocritical nature of many citizens.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the party executive emphasised that the success and achievements of an administration and its leader are measured by their ability to fulfill promises made to the citizens, rather than being based on 'metaphysics.' "I have heard this narrative that the people of Ghana are losing faith in democracy and politics and that we should pray for President John Mahama to succeed to save the political class and our democracy.
