The strike by the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) continues to bite hard, leaving many applicants stranded and uncertain about the fate of their documents at the Ashanti Regional Birth and Death Registry.

As the nationwide strike enters its third day, CLOGSAG members persist in their protest over the government's failure to fulfil its promise of replacing Samuel Adomako Botchway.

On February 20, 2025, CLOGSAG declared a nationwide strike, expressing displeasure over the continued tenure of Samuel Adomako Botchway at the Birth and Death Registry, despite government assurances of his removal.

In a press briefing on Saturday, CLOGSAG announced its decision to continue the strike following a National Executive Council meeting.
