Ghanaian football legend Sam Johnson has issued a stern ultimatum to Black Stars coach Otto Addo, stating that the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers are his last chance to redeem himself.
Addo has been walking on thin ice following Ghana's dismal showing in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which ended in the team's shocking failure to qualify for the continent's most prestigious tournament for the first time in two decades.
In an interview with Joysports, Johnson insists that Addo must use the World Cup qualifiers as a springboard to revive his fortunes and win back the trust of Ghanaians. "I will give myself that chance, but it is the last chance that he [Otto Addo] can get.
Because after this one, I don't think Ghanaians will be okay with him even coming back to be an assistant coach of the Black Stars.
