Presidential Adviser and Special Aide to President Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has responded to allegations by members of the opposition New Patriotic Party that she illegally acquired a vehicle for personal use.

In a post on Instagram, February 24, 2025, Joyce Bawah noted that members of the opposition New Patriotic Party have resorted to "baseless, needless and unjustified tactics" after losing the elections.

She said the allegations against her are untrue as she lawfully acquired the vehicle for personal use. "Their attacks would have been justified if in their haste to attack me, they were able to show that the acquisition was not in full compliance with my Conditions of Service or any law," she wrote.

Joyce Bawah affirmed that her compliance and adherence to the country's existing laws is evident from the fact that she has never been a subject in any scandal or investigation regarding the acquisition of the vehicle which is claimed to have been illegally acquired.
