A prominent member of the (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has expressed his deep disappointment in some appointees of the former NPP government for failing to assist his son in securing employment while they were in power, despite his dedicated contributions to the party.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on Monday, February 24, 2025, the legal practitioner shared his frustrations over his son's unemployment status, despite holding a master's degree from India.
According to the NPP stalwart, several appointees of former President , who held positions in various institutions and ministries, failed to assist his son in securing employment, despite having the authority to do so. "… When my son returned from India after completing his master's degree in computer science, I visited about six ministries, often meeting with sector ministers, yet he is still at home unemployed," he said.
The former Deputy General Secretary of the NPP further recalled the responses he received in his efforts to secure a job for his son, noting that most appointees simply asked him to leave the necessary documents behind, only for him to receive no follow-ups or responses. "When you approach these ministers, they simply ask you to leave a document behind.
