The Volta Regional Security Council (RESEC) temporarily closed Sokode Senior High Technical School on Sunday, 23rd February, following a clash between students and residents of the Sokode community.
A teacher, who spoke to Myjoyonline.com on condition of anonymity, explained that on Friday, 21st February, some 'notorious' students entered the community without permission and had confrontations with local residents.
This led to one of the residents sustaining an injury.
In retaliation, around ten young people from the community besieged the school premises on Sunday, 23rd February, seeking revenge.
