South Dayi Lawmaker Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor has apologised to Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin on the Police outriders comment he made.
The Majority Chief Whip had said on TV3's Key Point, Saturday, February 22 that, "a Majority Leader used to drive around with 50 military convoys following him." Although Mr Dafeamekpor did not mention Afenyo-Markin's name, another discussant on the show, Martin Kpebu, specifically named Afenyo-Markin as the Majority Leader under reference.
The discussion was on privileges enjoyed by state officials.
Mr Afenyo-Markin who called into the programme said as the Majority Leader, he is entitled to the services of Police outriders. "I am not the first Minority Leader to have access to Police outriders, Haruna Iddrisu had it, Benjamin Kumbuor had it.
