One soldier has been confirmed dead in a ghastly accident at Saka near Zebilla on the Bawku - Bolgatanga highway.
Four others, who were travelling in the light armoured vehicle, are also battling for their lives.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle with registration number 21GA39 was on escort duties to Bawku but lost control after the left back tyre dislodged while in motion.
This resulted in the vehicle somersaulting several times.
