Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has demanded a public retraction of claims that he moves with a military convoy of 50 officers, calling the accusations misleading and politically motivated.

In an interview on the KeyPoints on February 22, Afenyo-Markin stressed that he has never had such security detail and accused his critics of making unfounded claims to stir public anger. "The man said some leaders had 50 military men in a convoy following them.

Then my respected colleague Martin Kpebu mentioned my name.

I am saying emphatically that I have never moved in a military convoy of 50.
