The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), a Government of Ghana initiative, has announced the temporary suspension of its staff.

The decision comes after extensive follow-ups to resolve complex employment-related issues, which have legal implications that prevent the use of operational funds for monthly staff allowances.

In a memo dated February 21, 2025, addressed to the HR Officer, the CEO of NEIP stated that due to the complexity and legal ramifications of the employment issues, it is necessary to adhere strictly to due process in regularizing staff employment matters to prevent further complications.

As a result, effective after the close of work today, all staff are instructed not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, until these issues are fully resolved. "Following extensive follow-ups to resolve the issues related to the employment of existing staff, it has been determined that the complexity and legal implications of these issues prevent us from using operational funds to pay monthly staff allowances," the memo stated.
