Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu believes that Gregory Afoko's case was an injustice.
He is of the view that the former president dealt with him because of his long-standing "beef" with Paul Afoko who is a former chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Accra-based TV3 on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Martin Kpebu said "This is great news". "The judiciary is suffering too much from political interference, President's interference in the judiciary is not on, that is not democracy. "This Gregory Afoko's case was injustice, just because Akufo-Addo had problems with Paul Afoko, Gregory." Afoko's Bail The High Court has granted bail to Gregory Afoko, who has been accused of conspiring with the convicted Asabke Alangdi to murder the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama.
The court granted Afoko bail in the sum of GH¢500,000 with two sureties, one of whom must be justified.
