Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder George Boateng has opened up on his desire to take the reins at the championship side, following the departure of John Eustace.

Eustace parted ways with Blackburn on February 13, 2025 after steering the club to safety in the 2023/24 season.

His departure has left a void at the Championship side, who are nine points adrift of the Premier League playoff spots.

Together with other reported names such as former Wolves manager Gary O'Neil, Braga's Carlos Carvalhal, and ex-Young Boys coach Raphael Wicky, Boateng has been earmarked as one of the potential succesors to Eustace.
