A video of a man claiming to be the biological father of Minority Leader, , has gone viral.
In the said video, which was reportedly taken on February 20, 2025, a woman who was with the man who said he is Afenyo-Markin's father in his home at Tsiame, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, refuted assertions that he did not take care of his son.
According to the woman, who goes by the name Abla Amewota Amable, Afenyo-Markin grew up in the home of his father until he was taken away by his mother, who hails from Winneba in the Central Region.
She also said that Afenyo-Markin's father, whose name is Moses Apetogou Afenyo Kofi, gave his son the name Afenyo; adding that Markin is the name of the Minority Leader's mother's father and not his stepfather as asserted. "This is Afenyo-Markin's hometown and this is his biological father.
