The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) has announced that it will host the inaugural Regional Sanitation Day on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The event, aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and public health, will feature a clean-up exercise at Madina Zongo Junction and its surrounding areas.
This initiative is part of the Greater Accra Regional Minister's efforts to enhance community participation in waste management and aligns with President John Dramani Mahama's Reset Agenda, which seeks to reintroduce the National Sanitation Day.
In preparation for the event, the LaNMMA has issued several directives for residents and business owners within the municipality: All shops and businesses are required to remain closed from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon on February 28, 2025.
