Former Finance Minister, Mohammed Amin Adam as questioned President John Dramani Mahama's claims of the previous government being criminally handled.
He bases his question on the question of whether, if the government were criminally handled, the base pay of public sector workers would be increased as it was during the previous government's era.

How could an economy described as "criminally mishandled" able to afford increases in the base pay for public sector workers by 30% in 2023; 23% from Jan - June 2024; and 25% from July - December 2024, and still posted decent fiscal deficits?
