The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Ghana's Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, John Setor Dumelo, has been praised following a recent initiative to provide free makeup and photoshoots to first-year Legon students during their matriculation.

Dumelo, who has maintained strong ties to the University of Ghana throughout the decade and a half that he's been involved in Ayawaso West Wuogon politics - often preparing special packages for its students - announced his latest intervention ahead of the school's matriculation ceremony for freshers.

The ceremony is slated for Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at the school premises.

A matriculation ceremony follows orientation and is an official induction into the school for first-year students.
