The Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, on Wednesday, 19th February, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, to discuss areas of mutual cooperation in the energy sector.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Energy on February 19, focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Switzerland, particularly in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable development.
During the discussions, Minister Jinapor emphasised Ghana's commitment to diversifying its energy mix and improving access to clean and affordable energy.
He highlighted the government's efforts in promoting renewable energy sources, including solar and hydroelectric power, to enhance energy security and reduce carbon emissions. "We are keen on leveraging strategic partnerships to develop a robust and sustainable energy sector.
