The Member of Parliament of Afigya Kwabre, Collins Adomako-Mensah, has strongly criticised the government and the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, for failing to address the ongoing illegal mining crisis affecting water bodies and forest reserves.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in response to a statement attributed to the Minister of Lands, , regarding illegal miners completely taking over nine forest reserves, Collins Adomako-Mensah highlighted how the ruling government, during its time in opposition, portrayed former President as the primary problem in addressing and combating the illegal mining crisis.
According to him, the (NDC), in their campaign statements, successfully convinced Ghanaians of their ability to tackle illegal mining head-on and resolve the issue once and for all.
However, the minister's recent statement appears to contradict these earlier claims. "I don't know whether I should be sad or be happy.
