A taxi driver, Richard Essifie, has been arraigned before the Dansoman Circuit Court for allegedly hitting and killing a 52-year-old pedestrian on the General Acheampong High Street in Accra.
Essifie was behind the wheel of a Daewoo Matiz Taxi, registered AS 890-19, when the incident occurred around 4:35 a.m.
on February 15, 2025., GNA reports.
He reportedly struck the pedestrian, Francis Yaw Osei, who was crossing the road near Biggies Pub.
