Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo has opted not to comment on the petition seeking the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, citing her recent swearing-in as a member of the Council of State and her unfamiliarity with the petition and its response.
Speaking to the media, she clarified that the matter had not reached the Council of State, making it inappropriate for her to express an opinion at this stage. "That has nothing to do with the Council of State at this stage.
It has not reached the Council of State, and I'm not going to prejudge anything.
