Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has admitted that football in the country is facing serious challenges.
Speaking at a training session for Premier League Match Commissioners on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, he emphasized that this moment presents an opportunity for significant change.
The training, focused on enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols, is part of ongoing efforts to improve the safety of all stakeholders, including players, officials, and fans.
This follows the tragic death of Francis 'Nana Pooley' Frimpong, who was fatally stabbed during Asante Kotoko's match against Nsoatreman in Nsoatre two weeks ago in a Ghana Premier League Week 19 fixture.
