Despite a bench warrant issued by the Koforidua High Court for his arrest, the Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Ernest Yaw Kumi, has been seen going about his parliamentary duties.

A video sighted by MyNewsGH.com shows the MP dressed in a white kaftan, seated in the chamber of Parliament and engaging in conversations with fellow lawmakers in the corridors.

The High Court had ordered Kumi's arrest after finding him guilty of contempt for defying an injunction that barred him from being sworn into office.

His presence in Parliament, despite the outstanding warrant, raises questions about the enforcement of the court's directive.
