Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, has acknowledged the critical role that the Naval Command plays in protecting Ghana's territorial waters as part of their traditional duties.

He said the role of the Command requires that they work to protect businesses and social activities connected to the sea and the country's territorial water bodies.

The Minister was addressing the Western Naval Command as part of his familiarisation tour of the various security commands in the region on Tuesday 18th February 2025.

According to Joseph Nelson, the economic survival of Ghanaians in the country obviously hinges on security and the social protection being provided by government.
