Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national communications team, George Ayisi, has criticized the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for declaring former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta a fugitive without a court order.
This follows the Office of the Special Prosecutor stating that the former minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who is said to be undergoing medical treatment outside the country has caused financial loss to the state through various transactions.
According to the OSP, the transactions include the controversial construction of the National Cathedral and the Ghana Revenue Authority's partnership with Strategic Mobilization Ghana Ltd.
Speaking on GH Today with Lily Mohammed, Ayisi stated that while he acknowledges the sensitivity of the issue, legal protocols must be followed.
