Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed has hailed the National Peace Council for their role in ensuring peace during the 2024 elections.

He sang their praises when he visited them at their office on February 17, 2025. "The National Peace Council played a pivotal role in promoting peace and stability during the 2024 general elections, working closely with stakeholders to prevent conflicts and promote peaceful elections," he said.

Muntaka Mubarak urged the Peace Council to continue collaborating with stakeholders. "I stressed the need for continuous strengthening of partnerships between the National Peace Council and other stakeholders, including political parties, civil society organisations, and traditional leaders." His post shared via social media read "Earlier today, I paid a working visit to the National Peace Council at their office in Accra.

I noted that the peace and stability being enjoyed should be cherished and protected because they are the bedrock of every country's development.
