Yaw Owusu Obimpeh has been elected as the Ashanti Regional Representative on the Council of State.
Obimpeh, who is a former Ashanti Regional Chairman, garnered 49 votes.
Nkansah Boadu Nana Ayeboafo received 35 votes, while Daniel Anarfi Yamoah garnered only 1 vote.
None of the other candidates received any votes.
