Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor has revealed some irregularities in the Electricity Company of Ghana's (ECG) financial report for January 2025.
This follows the huge financial mess by the company as revealed in the audit report by the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
A significant revenue discrepancy of GHS 567 million was disclosed by the PwC after a recent audit of ECG in the period between October and December 2023.
In an interview with Kemini Amanor on TV3's Hot Issues, February 16 2025, John Jinapor said a careful perusal of the first-month report of the company show that there is under-declaration of cash collected from customers.
