Concerns over payroll fraud in Ghana have resurfaced following allegations of widespread corruption within the National Service Authority (NSA).
Kofi Asare, Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, has reignited the conversation with a social media post highlighting the limitations of the Ghana Card in eliminating ghost names.
In a Facebook post dated February 16, 2025, he wrote: "Last year, I did a Corruption Risk Assessment of Payroll Management in Ghana for Transparency Int (GH).
After the study, I appreciated why GH Card can't eliminate Ghost Names.
