The Upper East Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, has announced that the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) will generate 400 jobs in the Upper East Region. According to him, each of the 15 districts in the region will employ 30 individuals to operate the DRIP equipment, leading to a total of 400 jobs. In this regard, he praised President for his exceptional and forward-thinking leadership in implementing the DRIP project. He indicated that in the Upper East Region alone, a total of 117 pieces of equipment have been received, including 15 backhoes, 15 tipper trucks, 15 motor graders, 15 graders, 15 water tankers, 15 rollers, 6 wheel loaders, 3 bulldozers, 3 lowbeds, and 30 concrete mixers, making up 117 pieces of equipment in total.
