The National Democratic Congress' (NDC) flagbearer's running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has been installed as a Development Queen Mother of Sakumono. The event took place on Tuesday, August 20 during the running mate's campaign tour of the area. The people and chiefs of Sakumono warmly received her to the community and decided to honour her. She now bears the title "Naa Amarkie Kekleke Yoo I". The chiefs and leaders of the Sakumono said Professor Opoku-Agyeman is a development-oriented leader and a mother figure to the community hence the decision to honour her.
