In a heartfelt demonstration of appreciation and goodwill, the Abraham Norman Nortey-led Students' Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) marked this year's Valentine's Day by celebrating with market women on campus.
The event, aimed at recognizing and honoring the hardworking women who serve the university community daily, saw the SRC distributing parcels filled with essential items such as rice, cooking oil, drinks, chocolates, and other goodies.
Speaking at the event, SRC President Abraham Norman Nortey expressed his deep appreciation for the contributions of the market women to student life. "These women are the backbone of our campus economy.
They wake up every day to ensure that students have access to food, printing services, and other essential needs.
