Television personality Nana Aba Anamoah has indicated that the directive that government officials must not take the first class when traveling out of the country is not a cost-cutting measure.
She argues that in Ghana, it is only the Emirates that offers first-class services and so appointees will continue to take business class, which comes at a very high cost and has always been the flight option appointees use.
To her, if President John Dramani Mahama is serious about cutting costs, appointees must rather use premium economy. "The truth of the matter is that it is only emirate that offers first-class services in Ghana.
British Airways does not do first class; they do business, premium economy, and economy.
