Ghana's former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that Africa lost out in the last 100 years of progress.
He says this loss is due to the lack of investment in research and development and the failure to create an enabling environment for innovators.
The New Patriotic Party flagbearer for the 2024 election said Africa's problem has never been the lack of talent.
Rather, what Africa lacks is deliberateness, leadership, and investment to create the ecosystems where innovations and innovators thrive.
