The Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has threatened to terminate the contracts of non-performing contractors under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP). He explained that the contractors fail to deliver even after receiving payments from the ministry to complete some critical infrastructural development in some 35 municipalities. Speaking to the media after a tour of the Western and Central Regions, Mr Korsah indicated his ministry's resolve to terminate the contracts of some contractors being lackadaisical. The minister observed that some contractors deliberately delay the project to secure extra funds from the government adding that the Ministry will not countenance such activities. "Some have been good, some have not been good. Where it's not been good, we have put in place measures to ensure that nobody frustrates the government and the people who must be enjoying these projects.
