Old Tafo MP Vincent Ekow Assafuah has dismissed reports suggesting that he asked former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to "carry his own cross" in response to ongoing investigations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Speaking on Metro TV's Good Morning Ghana, Assafuah insisted that his remarks were misconstrued and taken out of context.
According to him, the reports making rounds were a total deviation from his actual statement and intent. "I never said anything like that.
My words were misrepresented, and that cannot be the position of the party.
