President John Dramani Mahama has reassigned Edward Bawa to head Goil as Group CEO.
The move forms part of the President's broader energy sector strategy, Mr Bawa wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday, February 13. "I have been reassigned to GOIL as Group CEO, effective immediately, as part of the President's broader energy sector strategy," he said.
President John Dramani Mahama earlier appointed him as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
The appointment was in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 constitution and section 10(2) of the GNPC Act, 1983(P.N.D.C.L.64).
