The Electoral Commission has announced plans to re-run the Council of State election held in the North East and Ashanti regions on Monday, February 17, 2025.
This is contained in a press release dated February 12 and signed by the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Mr Samuel Tettey. "This is because there was a tie in the Election in the North East Region.
The top two candidates each had six (6) votes.
As such, the Election has to be re-run.
