The New Patriotic Party (NPP), has slammed the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and its head, Kissi Agyebeng, for describing former finance minister as a fugitive.

This follows accusations by the OSP that the former minister, who is said to be undergoing medical treatment outside the country, caused financial loss to the state through various transactions, including the controversial construction of the National Cathedral and the Ghana Revenue Authority's partnership with Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited.

The Special Prosecutor also dismissed reports that armed uniformed men stormed the residence of , as staged.
