The Director of Communications of the (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has condemned the revocation of appointments and recruitments made by the Akufo-Addo administration after the December 7 elections, calling it unconstitutional.

In a statement on X on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, he argued that Akufo-Addo remained in office until January 7, 2025, making all decisions within that period legally binding. "The order by CoS Mr.

directing the revocation of the appointments and recruitments made after the December 7 election is inconsistent with the 1992 Constitution, Article 66(1).

Akufo-Addo was president until John Dramani Mahama was sworn in on 7 January 2025, notwithstanding his victory on 7 December 2024.
